Bob Bearpark Foundation Scholarships
The Bob Bearpark Foundation approved four scholarships to support two participants to attend the 2018 Sport for Life Canadian Summit in the amount of $225 per person, and two others to attend the Sport for Life Society Leader's School in the amount of $425 per person.
The Sport for Life Leaders School is a Sport for Life initiative. The concept is simple: support the personal learning and development of community leaders as they integrate Sport for Life and Long-Term Athlete Development into Canada's communities. Over a one-year span, Leaders School participants will plan, launch, and lead individual community projects, guided and mentored by members of the Sport for Life team.
The Sport for Life Canadian Summit brings together leaders who work to enhance the quality of sport and physical activity in Canada. Sport for Life recognizes that quality sport and physical literacy offer rich benefits to Canadian society through improved health, stronger communities, higher sporting achievement, and stronger national identity. By improving the quality of sport, Sport for Life aims to improve the lives of all Canadians. The 2018 Sport for Life Canadian Summit will take place January 23 - 25 at the Hilton Lac-Leamy Hotel, in Gatineau, QC, Canada.
The deadline for applications is Thursday, November 30.
