Aboriginal Sport Circle Welcomes New Board of Directors

The Aboriginal Sport Circle (ASC) is pleased to welcome 3 new and 2 returning members to its Board of Directors. The Directors were elected based on their capacity to advance national level priorities for Indigenous sport, physical activity, and wellness in Canada.

Together they will ensure the organization continues on its path of positive growth. A full list and short biographies of all ASC Directors will be posted on the ASC website.

The election of new Directors-all of whom possess outstanding credentials and skills- speaks to the widespread interest and commitment that people have in seeing the continued success of the ASC," said ASC President, Lynn Lavallee.

"On behalf of the ASC, we want to also acknowledge and thank the outgoing Vice-President, Brittanee Laverdure and Director, JJ Johnston, who served on the ASC Board. Their contribution in their leadership roles served to advance priorities of the ASC during their term," commented Carey Calder, ASC CEO.

The election took place at the ASC's first virtual Annual General Meeting on September 22, 2020.
